Task: deliver adhesive from the USA to Russia. The cargo was both dangerous goods and sanctions-restricted.

Adhesive packed in 200-liter steel drums and plastic jerrycans (5–20 kg). Classified as dangerous goods (DG).
Route
- Cargo acceptance in the USA.
- Delivery to Turkey (Istanbul).
- Transit to Russia (Novorossiysk).
- Onward delivery to Saint Petersburg.
Client's wishes
- Purchase via a Turkish trading house, as the seller does not supply to Russia.
- Container-to-container reloading via a warehouse in Turkey, with maximum attention to cargo securing, separation, and packing materials to prevent damage.
Features of transportation
- Sanctions restrictions required purchasing via a Turkish trading house.
- DG shipment approvals had to be coordinated with the ocean carrier and with terminals in Istanbul and Novorossiysk.
- During reloading in Istanbul, we used dunnage airbags to keep the cargo immobilised and reduce the risk of damage.
Result for the client
The cargo was delivered intact and on schedule, fully meeting the client’s requirements and without additional costs.
