About the client and the task
Growex arranged an ocean shipment for a stainless steel products supplier with 15 years of market experience.
Objective: deliver two 20’DC containers with flat stainless products (pipes) on the route Nansha → Novorossiysk → Moscow.
Special requirement: Switch Bill of Lading (Switch B/L).

Steel products packed in crates (unit weight over 1.5 tons).
Route
- Ocean freight (China → Russia): containers shipped from the Port of Nansha to Novorossiysk.
- Inland trucking: delivery from Novorossiysk to the Moscow Region.
Client's wishes
- Ocean freight with Switch B/L arrangement.
- Reloading (if required), trucking delivery, and empty container return.
- Document amendments / coordination of the Switch B/L.
- Additional cargo securing at the port.
Features of transportation
The booking was placed via our China-side agents using a new carrier service that provides a Switch B/L scheme, with switching performed at the transshipment port in Turkey. Initially, updating the B/L details was expected to be a standard procedure, and the Switch B/L was processed when the vessel departed Turkey.
However, to issue a telex release, the ocean carrier required the original guarantee letter from the Turkish shipper to be submitted to the carrier’s China office. This request applied to key shipping documents, including the B/L. We arranged urgent document delivery through our partners in China, so the overall delivery timeline remained unchanged.

Result for the client
A telex release (electronic cargo release without presenting original B/Ls) was successfully arranged. The cargo was delivered to the Moscow Region on time.
