About the client and the task
An importer of fresh produce supplying offline and online retailers in Ulan-Ude approached us to arrange a 40’ reefer container of oranges from Egypt (El Dekheila Port) via Novorossiysk to Ulan-Ude.

- Inland leg: reloading in Novorossiysk → delivery to Ulan-Ude by truck.

Temperature control
Maintaining cargo quality required an uninterrupted cold chain with no deviations from the set range. A reefer container was used to keep the required temperature throughout the sea leg.
Reloading under surveyor supervision
In Novorossiysk, the container was opened and the cargo was reloaded into the client’s vehicle. The reloading was performed under controlled conditions with an independent surveyor present to confirm packaging integrity and compliance with sanitary standards.
Handling quarantine-controlled cargo
The shipment was subject to mandatory phytosanitary and quarantine inspections. For customs clearance, the originals of the phytosanitary certificate and the certificate of origin were required. The documents were delivered quickly via the ship’s courier, helping avoid delays.
Joint inspection with sanitary authorities
New requirements for quarantine-controlled products applied at the clearance stage. Customs inspection was carried out with the participation of sanitary authorities. We ensured full pre-clearance preparation and coordinated all parties involved.
